The Mitsubishi A6M2 was one of the best fighter aircraft at the beginning of World War 2. The Navy Deck Fighter Model 0 had no official name. The number 0 marks the end of the year 2600 in the Japanese calendar in which the aircraft was designed. Hence his nickname "zero" coined by the British. The aircraft was designed by engineer Jiro Horikoshi in 1940 for the Imperial Japanese Navy and was constantly modified during the war. The machine was characterized by high speed and maneuverability. These features were achieved, among other things, at the expense of armouring. In total, about 11,000 examples were produced in various versions. Our model is 1:32 scale and assembled measures 27 x 38 x 11.5 cm. The package contains 347 building blocks and a pilot figure.
