Build a 1:35 scale SAS Jeep. The Special Air Service (SAS) was founded in 1941 by British officer David Stirling as an elite special forces unit for operations behind enemy lines. Initially operating in the North African desert, they carried out sabotage missions against Axis forces, particularly attacking enemy airfields and vehicles. As the war progressed, the SAS expanded its operations into Europe. They carried out sabotage operations in Normandy after the D-Day invasion in 1944 and supported the resistance in France, Belgium and Italy. They attacked German supply routes, bridges and railways, paralyzing enemy transport and logistics. The SAS quickly gained a reputation for their effective and unconventional tactics. During the war, these units played a key role in weakening the Axis powers and became a legendary special forces formation.
